Hematology/Oncology Physician Opportunity

Seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for an outpatient and inpatient role with standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm) and protected administrative time (8+ hours per week). Call schedule is shared, approximately 1:4 rotation for patient care needs through telephone calls, also supported by after-hours nurse triage. The physician will have access to a dedicated nurse, APPs, and a specialized oncology nursing team. There are 4 physicians and 3 APPs currently. The clinic/facility includes a 10-chair infusion center, onsite lab and pharmacy, two additional infusion centers on campus (1 general/1 rheumatology), and imaging/diagnostics such as PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI, high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy.

Patient census is primarily adult patients with a wide range of cancers and hematologic disorders, from early-stage to advanced. The patient mix includes a mix of rural and suburban patients, many with complex care needs. The practice is 40% oncology and 60% hematology. Visit types include initial cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, chemotherapy follow-ups, and management of hematologic conditions like anemia and clotting disorders. Procedures include bone marrow biopsies, port insertions, chemotherapy administration, and oversight of clinical trials.

Sign-on bonus of $50k+ to assist with the transition. Competitive compensation with a guaranteed base salary (typically MGMA median) + WRVU bonuses. Base compensation is 700k+ (flexible/negotiable) + bonus potential.
