Hadoop / HPE MapR Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the data engineering and enterprise solutions sector, is seeking a Hadoop / HPE MapR Engineer to join their team. As a Hadoop / HPE MapR Engineer, you will be part of the Data Infrastructure Support team supporting large-scale data processing environments. Job Title: Hadoop / HPE MapR Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC What's the Job? Design, implement, and maintain large-scale distributed data platforms using HPE MapR and Hadoop technologies Support and enhance MapR‑based ecosystems to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and stability issues in production environments Ensure high availability and operational efficiency of enterprise‑scale clusters Collaborate strategically with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions What's Needed? 5+ years of experience in software engineering, big data, data platform, or infrastructure engineering, or equivalent experience Strong hands‑on experience with Hadoop distributions, specifically HPE MapR Deep understanding of distributed systems, data storage, and cluster computing concepts Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration Experience with at least one programming or scripting language: Python, Java, Scala, or Bash What's in it for me?
