About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources for Community Hospitals to serve as the senior-most HR executive on site and a key member of the executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of all HR activities, ensuring that the HR strategy aligns with the operational and clinical goals of the organization. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of HR programs and policies across various functions, including talent acquisition, organizational development, leadership and workforce planning, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, and labor relations. The VP HR will also play a central role in long-term organizational planning, workforce strategy, and change management initiatives to support growth, transformation, and cultural alignment. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a Master’s degree and advanced HR certifications preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior HR role within a community hospital or complex health system. The role requires a strategic thinker with a data-informed approach, strong business acumen, and a proven track record in driving organizational transformation initiatives. The VP HR will be expected to have exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders. Experience in unionized environments, leading HR in a highly matrixed organization, and a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement in the employee experience are also essential.
