Demonstrates a strong attention to detail by accurately interpreting construction plans, documenting findings, preparing reports, and maintaining effective communication with clients. This is a full-time position located in the Elmira, NY area.ResponsibilitiesConduct internal and external inspections to verify that weldments and bolted connections meet the acceptance criteria outlined in applicable codes, standards, and contract documentsInterpret and apply regulations, codes, and industry standards to support daily testing and inspection activitiesAccurately compile, document, and submit daily inspection reports in a timely mannerPerform additional construction materials testing and inspection tasks as requiredQualificationsMust possess Certified Welding Inspector Certification through the American Welding Society (AWS CWI)Knowledge of industry standards including AWS and ASTM requiredWorking knowledge of NDT methodologies, a plusPossess good interpersonal and communication skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsMust possess and maintain a valid driver's licenseCompensation: $25 - 34/hourBenefits CME offers competitive wages and benefits such as: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Health Savings Account, Supplemental Insurance Products, and Paid Time Off (including Holiday, Vacation, Sick and Personal) for full time employees.This is an Equal Employment Opportunity.
