To date, we have presented more than 800 artists from over 70 countries, performing in over 1,500 events attended by more than 1 million people.In Fall 2026, Global Arts Live will launch The Platform, a new performing arts center, in partnership with real estate developer BioMed Realty. Located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA, The Platform is part of the 585 Kendall Street building, which will also function as the new R&D headquarters for global pharmaceutical company Takeda.The Platform features the 400+seat state-of-the-art Takeda Theater at The Platform, the Tempo Stage at The Platform with flexible seating for 125 anchoring the first-floor commons, two bars, a café, and a rehearsal studio. The Platform is dedicated to supporting artists and nonprofits, work that expands our perspectives, and providing a hub for culture, connection, and conversation.HOUSE MANAGER JOB OVERVIEWGlobal Arts Live + The Platform are seeking a House Manager to play a key role in the management and operations of the Audience Services department. Reporting to the Director of Audience Services, the House Manager will oversee all front-of-house activities at The Platform. This position will collaborate with box office staff all events at The Platform, to ensure a welcoming and seamless experience for all patrons.RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise all performances, in coordination with the Assistant House Manager, at The Platform's two stages (the Takeda Theater and the Tempo Stage), and other events in The Platform involving audiences or other guests.Hire, train, supervise, and schedule Front of House staff including ushers, coat check staff, merchandise sellers, and volunteersCoordinate with Food and Beverage Manager regarding bar operations and concessions during performances to ensure guest satisfactionLiaise with presenting organizations renting spaces, regarding Front of House operations and staffingDevelop, implement, and supervise a volunteer greeter program for events at The PlatformCreate and distribute Front of House reports and follow up as needed with customer service issues or concernsMonitor theater spaces for maintenance issues and follow up as neededCollaborate with box office prior to and during events to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all patronsSupport the Director of Audience Services in financial reconciliations for performances, including providing settlements for venues, artists, and renters.Support cross-departmental projects including but not limited to special events, educational and audience engagement initiatives.Responsibilities list is not exhaustive and may include other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONSNot sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?
