Data Engineer

Compensation: $260,000–$300,000 + equity package. About A small data team owns everything: pipelines, quality checks, core data models, and the infrastructure that feeds product decisions across the business. High-leverage work at a company that is scaling fast. The company builds AI agents that automate high-volume operational workflows. The product is live, the data surfaces are growing, and system stability is a real engineering challenge. The fit is a strong software engineer who is deep on data - someone who moves across services, debugs problems at the source, and owns outcomes end-to-end. What you'll do Own the data pipeline completely: design, implement, and maintain data infrastructure and ETL processes Build large-scale pipelines that process high volumes reliably with clear quality standards Design core data objects and models used across the organisation Optimise data flow for product, operations, and analytics teams Implement data quality monitoring and alerting systems Develop client-facing reporting and metrics datasets What you'll need 4+ years of professional data engineering experience Strong coding foundations in Python, Java, and/or SQL Solid ETL design and implementation experience Knowledge of data warehousing, particularly Snowflake Startup mindset: high ownership, scrappy, comfortable with ambiguity On-site in NYC (strongly preferred; SF only for truly exceptional candidates) Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 48 hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr Axiōma Search
