Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, Asheville, NC This position involves providing urgent and emergency care within a busy Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting a diverse patient population, and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications; ability to start within specified certification timelines; 2 years experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume ED, with at least 1 year working in an emergency room setting; current license in applicable state
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with HCA facilities and teamwork with multicultural patient populations; familiarity with operating room procedures and advanced skills in emergency procedures
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, triage, monitoring using GE monitors, documentation via Cerner system, and applying the hospital's policies including respectful patient interaction and adherence to unit-specific protocols.
• Additional information: No floating outside the ED is required, but flexibility to work in all ED areas is necessary. The department is known for teamwork, technological innovation, and a welcoming environment.
