Coordinates and performs all computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety. Operates advanced imaging equipment, prepares patients, and supports radiologists in diagnostic processes. Responsibilities:
- Set up and monitor CT equipment operation tailored to each patient's needs.
- Transfer and position patients using proper safety and lifting techniques, applying immobilization devices when necessary.
- Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously following prescribed protocols.
- Capture, develop, and securely store diagnostic images, ensuring quality control and calibration of equipment.
- Assist radiologists and other physicians in performing specialized imaging procedures.
- Monitor patients for allergic reactions, responding promptly and effectively in emergencies, including providing basic CPR.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, specifically in X-ray or CT imaging.
- Prior experience working in a travel or interim healthcare setting preferred.
- Valid Michigan license verification required, including LARA and Nursys if applicable.
- ARRT certification and BLS certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital image capture, storage, and transfer processes.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and patient care procedures.
