Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist (Travel Assignment)

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Nights (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 7 On / 7 Off Schedule

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 26-week travel assignment at a pediatric-focused acute care facility and Level II trauma center. This role begins on a night shift schedule and will transition to day shifts later in the assignment to provide extended coverage.

Position Details

7 On / 7 Off block schedule
Night shift initially, with transition to day shift expected
Assignment extends to support coverage through early 2027
Every other weekend required
No on-call responsibilities
No floating between units
48-hour work schedules are not approved

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Prepare and dispense medications safely in an inpatient setting
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Monitor patient medication therapy and outcomes
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation

Requirements

Active Texas Pharmacist License required
First-time travelers are welcome
Prior inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills required
