Electronics Equipment Technician II

Other duties may be assigned.Applies comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents.Applies judgement to the planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments, as well as provide familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits.Performs testing utilizing Oscilloscopes, Digital volt/ohm meters, and other test equipment.Performs fact finding and analysis, as required, to address a single activity or a routine problem, and apply established procedures where the nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment, operating system and programming language have been decided.Conducts research on routine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents.Assists higher level technicians and provide guidance to lower-level technicians.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience; or an associate’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork is primarily performed in a professional office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Seldom lifting of office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds, as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.May have occasional exposure to mild burns.
