LPN Position Summary Direct the daily activities of the CNAs and ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing personnel. Participate in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents as required. Assess resident’s conditions, prepare, and administer medications per physician orders. Initiate, review, and update care plans. Manage the nursing care for all residents and delegate shift tasks to nurses. Supervise nurse aides as they complete their assignments. Observe residents’ conditions, oversee, and respond as necessary. Inform physicians of any changes in resident conditions. Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
