Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited educational program or equivalent. Active New York State PTA license required to start the assignment. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care settings preferred. Ability to evaluate, plan, and administer therapies under PT supervision and to document treatments and patient progress in medical records. New graduates welcome. Previous experience with resident populations, mobility training, transfers, and restorative care preferred.
