Medical Records Clerk Opportunity

The Medical Records Clerk processes requests for release of medical record information, assuring the confidentiality of medical records. Processes requests for forms and medical records from patient units. Assists and supports the Medical Record Department by performing various clerical functions and assuring smooth functioning of daily departmental operations. Organizes and files patient medical charts. Responsibilities include preparing charts for patient discharge process, setting up medical records for newly admitted patients, facilitating completion of required documents in patient record, following established guidelines for handling patient legal status issues and court documents, and maintaining sufficient amounts of stock in accordance with departmental needs.
