Postsecondary Sociology Teacher for AI Training

Apply your sociology expertise to develop rigorous assessment materials that help improve education-focused AI systems. This remote contract role centers on translating disciplinary knowledge into clear, academically sound tasks, rubrics, research-informed guidance, and constructive feedback. Prior AI experience is not required. Key Responsibilities

• Design assessment tasks grounded in sociological concepts, with clear, measurable prompts suitable for use by third-party educators.
• Create high-quality evaluation rubrics aligned to each task and informed by established pedagogical frameworks, including Bloom''s taxonomy.
• Review educational materials and provide detailed, actionable feedback that strengthens clarity, rigor, and authenticity.
• Synthesize relevant sociological literature and research to inform task and rubric development, maintaining academic integrity and current content.
• Document the rationale and evaluation criteria for assessments and rubrics to support transparency and use across educational settings.
• Collaborate asynchronously with subject-matter experts and project stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication.
• Refine materials iteratively in response to peer and project feedback.

• PhD or ABD in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
• An active record of postsecondary teaching and research or publication.
• Demonstrated experience developing high-quality assessment tasks and evaluation rubrics.
• Strong knowledge of pedagogical principles, including Bloom''s taxonomy and other assessment frameworks.
• Ability to turn complex sociological theories into clear, actionable educational content.
• Experience reviewing work objectively and delivering constructive feedback.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clarity and academic rigor.

• $50 to $90 per hour.
