Veterinary Surgeon

About Us Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital, located in Latham, New York, is looking to add a board-certified surgeon or an individual who has completed residency training to join our well-established team. About You We are seeking a surgeon who is talented, energetic, and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. Adding a surgeon to our busy ER will greatly improve our ability to serve more pets in our community. Our Hospital Our hospital includes 9 exam rooms, a newly renovated surgery annex with four surgery suites, arthroscopy, LigaSure, and an array of ortho and soft tissue instrumentation. We also have a 40‑cage treatment area with six treatment tables and an isolation suite. Diagnostic imaging capabilities include digital radiography, a CT, and ultrasound for ER use. We have seven seasoned emergency veterinarians, a criticalist and a dermatologist, and we are actively working to expand into internal medicine and radiology. Our Support Staff Our technicians are an excellent group: eight have been on staff for ten or more years, many with anesthesia experience. One former surgery tech is eager to support and bring surgery into CDVRH permanently. Compensation Compensation is structured as a base salary or production‑based model, whichever is greater. Base salary ranges from $275,000 to $300,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
