Security Officer

WHAT WE PROVIDE Â

This is a position at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown, in Spring, TX. Pay: $15.50/Hr

Responsibilities:

• Interact with guests providing directions and assistanceÂ

• Protect employees, guests, and company propertyÂ

• Enforce Park policiesÂ

• Control Park access, checking vehicle permits and scanning ID badges for team members, vendors, and contractorsÂ

• Patrol and inspect assigned areas of the parkÂ

• Keep unauthorized personnel out of restricted areasÂ

• Greet and screen entering through metal detection and check their bags for prohibited itemsÂ

• Rapidly respond to active alarms, first aid, and other emergency situationsÂ

• Monitor all areas for safety hazards, including fire, theft, and vandalismÂ

• Maintain ride queue lines, sending line jumpers to the back to ensure an efficient boarding processÂ

• Write detailed reports of damage, incident logs, and security recordsÂ

• Apprehend violators, including on-foot pursuits when necessaryÂ

• Escort guests and team members as needed for assistance and protectionÂ

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safetyÂ

• Strong attention to detailÂ

• Enforce all park policies and proceduresÂ

• Cautious and reliableÂ

• Remain calm in emergency situationsÂ

• Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the Public Safety Department and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown.Â

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or olderÂ

• Able to lift, carry, and balance heavy loadsÂ

• Physical qualifications to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shiftÂ

• Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysÂ

• The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and sun.Â

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Â

• Ability to walk, run, bend, stoop and crawl on uneven terrain.Â

• Ability to withstand varied environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, moisture, dryness, etc.Â

• All other duties as assigned.Â
