Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to labor and delivery patients including high-risk OB with multiple co-morbidities
• Monitor fetal heart tracings and manage advanced EFM
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including OB techs, NICU nurses, and anesthesiologists
• Support baby-friendly initiatives including first hour skin-to-skin
• Float to postpartum and NICU as needed
• Document thoroughly in Cerner and maintain perinatal initiatives

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR
• Experience with fetal link and hugs security system
• Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Requirements

• Active RN license in California or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced EFM certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years L&D experience, no first-time travelers
• Strong IV skills and Cerner experience required
• Ability to float to postpartum and NICU
