Quality Lab Technician

Responsibilities Conduct all quality control laboratory activities including sample analysis, data recording, and operation & maintenance of laboratory equipment. Ensure compliance with safety rules and HSES policies, and properly dispose of chemicals. Analyze raw material, in-process material, finished material, shipment, and miscellaneous samples using wet titration, pH, color, specific gravity, and moisture methods. Provide internal and external customers with high-level responsiveness and communicate results across departments. Evaluate and determine quality approvals of raw materials and manufacturing batches/shipments; review and approve laboratory results. Document all data in laboratory notebooks, SAP, and LIMS. Perform test methods independently within required precision and accuracy, prepare solutions, and maintain laboratory equipment daily. Assist in troubleshooting batches with quality issues, support customer complaints, and conduct laboratory investigations. Contribute to process improvement: write SWPs, SOPs, methods, protocols, and reports; participate in problem-solving. Assist with qualification, validation, and preventative maintenance of instruments and test methods. Oversee training of new employees in basic laboratory skills. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and perform any other duties assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited organization. Two years of experience in a QC/QA laboratory within a chemical manufacturing environment. Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and collaborative. Excellent math and reading skills with familiarity in wet chemistry methods. Strong oral and written interpersonal communication skills. Work Environment Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods. Working in a lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE. Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment. Occasional lifting or movement of materials. Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards.
