Subsequent renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.PurposePerform research experiments and assist in mouse colony management.ResponsibilitiesPerform experiments relating to electrophysiological and biochemical assays measuring ion channel functionCollaborate with other lab personnel on projectsAssistance in mouse colony management and training of other lab personnel in lab techniques and mouse colony management as neededReading scientific literature, writing parts of manuscripts, attendance of seminars/lab meetings, presenting research at internal and external conferencesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Neuroscience or related field.Experience with patch clamp electrophysiology and Ca2+ imagingExperience with Molecular Biology and ion channel researchPreferred QualificationsExperience working in research labSalary$38,000Working ConditionsMay work around chemical fumesMay work around standard office conditionsMay work around biohazardsMay work around chemicalsRepetitive use of a keyboard at a workstationRequired MaterialsResume/CV3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisorLetter of interestImportant for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
