Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Xerox Printer and Copier Technicians for a direct hire field service opportunity in Saint Louis, MO. This role is ideal for a reliable, self-motivated technician with strong mechanical aptitude, customer service skills, and hands-on experience servicing printers, copiers, or production print equipment.

This is a long-term career opportunity with a service-focused organization that values professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and technical excellence. Technicians are supported by service leadership, internal systems, and team resources while working independently in the field. The right candidate will enjoy solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and building a stable career in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform service calls, installations, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, calibrations, and maintenance on printer, copier, and production equipment.
- Inspect and test equipment to identify issues, repair problems, evaluate performance, and ensure proper operation under real-world customer conditions.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, service management, and internal teams regarding service status, delays, concerns, and follow-up needs.
- Demonstrate equipment use to customers after installation or repair and provide clear documentation of work performed.
- Use internal software systems to manage service calls, order parts, submit reports, and maintain accurate administrative records.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, parts inventory, safety practices, service response goals, and a professional customer-facing appearance.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $40,000 to $55,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform field service, installation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance for Xerox printers, copiers, and related production print equipment.
- Manage assigned service calls, customer communication, parts ordering, documentation, and territory service performance expectations.
- Diagnose mechanical, equipment performance, and basic network-related issues in customer environments.

- 3-5 years of relevant printer, copier, production equipment, or field service technician experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret operating instructions, maintenance manuals, technical documentation, and procedure manuals.
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to resolving concerns and meeting customer requirements.
- Highly organized, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple service priorities independently.
- Ability to use internal software systems for call management, parts ordering, reporting, and service documentation.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, dispatch, service leadership, and team members.
- Regular, predictable physical attendance and the ability to perform field-based service work are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate’s degree or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school.
- Xerox copier, printer, or production print equipment service experience.
- Experience supporting network-connected print devices in customer-facing service environments.
- Ability to pass a Core Basic Copier Technology Exam, if required.
