We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full Time, Medical Assistant 3 Receptionist 3 at Center for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases - Dr. W. Siegel in Secaucus, NJ.  

 

About the Role:

The Medical Assistant 3 Receptionist 3 plays a critical dual role in healthcare settings by providing both clinical support and front-desk administrative services. This position ensures smooth patient flow by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-ins, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role requires effective communication with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate seamless care delivery. Additionally, the Medical Assistant 3 Receptionist 3 assists with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting medical staff with procedures. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to enhancing patient experience and operational efficiency within the healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients, verifying personal and insurance information accurately.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and collecting patient vital signs.
• Maintain and update patient medical records ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Process patient billing and insurance claims, coordinating with billing departments as needed.
• Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming.
• Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.

The required skills enable the Medical Assistant 3 Receptionist 3 to efficiently manage patient interactions and clinical support tasks, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all communications. Proficiency with EHR systems and office software is essential for maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments seamlessly. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical assistant or receptionist role within a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish and English.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related healthcare field.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited program.
• Experience with medical billing and coding.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
• CPR certification or other relevant clinical certifications.
