Welder and Fabricator

This role involves fabricating and welding metal components in a busy, well‑equipped shop. You’ll read blueprints, measure and cut materials, assemble parts, weld using MIG/TIG, and complete quality checks. This is a long‑term opportunity with strong growth potential.

• Read blueprints and drawings
• Measure, cut, and form metal components
• Perform MIG and TIG welding
• Grind, deburr, and finish products
• Conduct quality checks
• Complete documentation
• Follow safety procedures
• Lift and position large metal parts

• Experience in welding/fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints
• MIG and TIG welding skills
• Fabrication abilities (measuring, cutting, bending, assembling)
• Grinding and finishing experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Math and measurement accuracy
• Ability to lift heavy materials
• Stand for long periods

• Production‑shop experience
• Sheet metal familiarity
• Problem‑solving skills
• Teamwork and communication

You’ll work full‑time in a fabrication shop building industrial compactors and equipment. The environment can be dirty due to materials and equipment. Standard shift is 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. Work involves fabrication tools, welding equipment, grinders, and PPE.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Inver Grove Heights, MN.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Inver Grove Heights,MN.
