Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice, including administration of medications and completion of nursing procedures and treatments.
• Develops, implements, and continually reassesses individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
• Accurately documents care provided, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses.
• Evaluates and updates discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs; teaches patients, families, and significant others relevant health information.
• Communicates and collaborates with all members of the healthcare team while maintaining a clean and safe environment per hospital and unit policies.
• May float in rotation, including as a sitter, and participates in on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure required.
• CVOR experience required; general OR experience and cardiac experience also required.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must consistently function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice.
• Must adhere to applicable hospital policies and unit standards.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with performance improvement processes and collaboration with clinical leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
