Located in the heart of historic downtown Healdsburg, Little Saint is a vibrant meeting place where guests are invited to connect over food, music, art and conversation. Inside our 10,000-square-foot space, Little Saint offers up a full-service farm-forward restaurant, cafe and wine shop with a focus on plant-based cuisine. The building is home to exciting live music and thought-provoking conversations, as well as a series of film screenings and performances to benefit local artists and our farming community.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Under the direction of the General Management team of Little Saint, the Floor Supervisor will work directly with staff, guests and the management team in creating memorable dining experiences for our customers, continually improving our quality of service, and helping our team reach their full potential. The Floor Supervisor will assist in overseeing daily service operations, training, and adherence to safety and service standards.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively to achieve company objectives in service, quality, and the appearance and cleanliness of the facility through training employees and contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
  • Ensure consistent, thorough, and timely communication with subordinates, peers, managers, and customers.
  • Understand and implement all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to property standards.
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with the restaurant’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure the guest experience is never compromised as a result of operational challenges.
  • Continually strive to provide opportunities to advance the education and development of staff as it relates to food, wine, and service.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance schedule
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred 5+ years of related food, beverage and/or service experience
  • Food Sanitation Certification
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Must have the ability to work 40 hours per week

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis 
  • Manual dexterity, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
