CDL Driver Full‑time position in Houston, TX. Overview Consolidated Pipe & Supply is a national leader in piping, fittings, valves, and all accessories for the energy, oil & gas, utility, construction, water, and sewer industries. Summary This position requires a Class A CDL License, 21 years of age, a clean driving record, and 6 months to 1 year DOT driving experience. The employee will transport freight daily between locations, operate a manual‑transmission truck, lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and maintain company vehicles. All DOT and insurance regulations must be met, and a pre‑employment drug screening will be required post‑offer. Job Functions Follow safety rules and work procedures. Drive 24-foot straight truck tractor and trailer to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Prepare receipts for loads picked up and maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations. Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions. Secure cargo by positioning blocks or tying rope around items. Load and unload truck; inspect equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Clean work area or vehicle. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Class A CDL License; 21 years of age; clean driving record; 6–12 months DOT experience; ability to operate a manual‑transmission truck; ability to lift at least 25 pounds; forklift experience a plus; ability to pass all DOT and insurance regulations; drug screening required.
