Hardware Engineer, Onsite

Salary: $95,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements:

• Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers or servers.
• Experience with Linux and Windows server administration and networking.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to diagnosing hardware and infrastructure issues.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
• Clear communication skills, including explaining technical issues and documenting work.
• Availability to work on-site during regular hours and provide on-call support outside those hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid drivers license and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
• Residence in Kirkland, Bellevue, Tukwila, or a nearby area, with the ability to travel between sites and respond promptly to outages.

• Build, rack, cable, configure, and maintain servers and related networking equipment.
• Work with our senior hardware engineer on installations, repairs, upgrades, and new projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving failed drives, servers, switches, and network connectivity.
• Travel between data center locations for scheduled work and urgent troubleshooting.
• Support Linux and Windows server administration and networking.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventories, equipment records, and documentation.
• Help design, assemble, and test prototype devices and cost-effective server configurations.
• Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and operating procedures.
• Clearly communicate progress, issues, and next steps with our distributed team.
• Participate in on-call support and respond promptly to production incidents.

We are hiring a hands-on Hardware Engineer / Server Technician to help maintain the server infrastructure behind our products, supporting data centers in Kirkland, Bellevue, and Tukwila that run production services 24/7. This is a full-time, on-site role in Kirkland, Washington, with a work schedule of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time and on-call availability outside regular hours. The base salary is 5,000 per month (60,000 annually).
