Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Neurology

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Neurology unit with a 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients with neurological diagnoses including post-surgical neuro, post-craniotomy, spine, and CVA post-TPA
• Interpret EKGs and monitor patients via centralized telemetry
• Collaborate with hospitalists, PCTs, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy to coordinate patient care
• Adhere to proper sterile field techniques; pass a unit-specific competency exam on day one of orientation
• Rotate every other weekend as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry or Neurology experience (within the past 6 months)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage telemetry monitoring
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam (via RELIAS only) within 48 hours of offer, with a maximum of 2 attempts
• COVID vaccination required, or an approved religious or medical declination with appropriate documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-craniotomy or CVA patient populations
• Familiarity with centralized telemetry monitoring systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a fast-paced acute care setting
