About the Position

Job Title: RN Centralized Registry Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg (Medical Surgical) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Indiana RN license or compact license required Certifications: BLS through AHA required Must-Have: Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience. Candidate must have at least 1 year of Med Surg experience in a large facility with over 450 beds. Description: This role requires advanced nursing skills in the management of diverse patient populations. Candidates will provide care for patients with chronic illnesses including COPD, Diabetes, and CHF. Experience with GI issues such as pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel diseases is essential. Nurses will manage infections including pneumonia, cellulitis, and sepsis. Candidates may care for patients with neurological issues such as stroke and dementia. Experience in managing mental health disorders, including depression and anxiety, is beneficial. Nurses will assist with procedures including colonoscopies and minor surgeries. General nursing duties include assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. Candidates must utilize electronic health records effectively. Experience with IV therapy, including management of drips, is required. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and various other medical equipment. Floating to other medical units may be required based on patient care needs. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:5-6. Candidates must be prepared to work 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks. Dress code is Caribbean blue scrubs.
