Associate Vice President of Development

I'm currently partnering with a well-capitalized renewable energy developer and investor on a confidential search for a Senior Development professional based in San Diego.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role, taking ownership of a strategically important utility-scale project that already has significant capital invested and is entering a critical phase of development.

We're looking for someone who can combine strong development expertise with commercial and analytical thinking.

Key requirements:

. 10+ years of renewable energy development experience

. Proven track record taking projects through to NTP

. Deep experience across land, permitting, and interconnection

. Strong understanding of project economics and financing

. Ability to assess opportunities through both a development and commercial lens

Additional experience in power marketing, origination, PPAs, project finance, or energy infrastructure investing would be highly attractive.

Location:

San Diego, CA (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

Relocation assistance available for the right candidate

Compensation:

$180,000 – $230,000 base salary + bonus + benefits
