The OR Circulator is accountable for ongoing documentation of all components of medical care delivered to patients within the perioperative and outpatient environment.OR Circulator ResponsibilitiesPrepares the surgery suites by gathering, organizing and preparing surgical supplies and equipment for surgical proceduresMonitors inventory of all surgical supplies and equipment and notifies appropriate individuals when supplies are neededOperates medical equipment and performs technical skills according to set policies and standards of care; seeks timely assistance as appropriateRestocks surgery suites with appropriate supplies when procedures have ended for the dayCollaborates with members of the surgical and clinical team in developing coordinated outcomes and interventions regarding patient progress and careRecords patient intraoperative information accurately and concisely on each patient's medical chartEnsures the operating rooms are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner at all timesFollows established HIPPA policies and procedures at all timesAssumes accountability and responsibility for attendance and timely completion of mandatory training programs, unit specific requirements (i.e. BLS) and unit meetings.Education & ExperienceHigh School DiplomaMinimum 1 year of related experienceHolds and maintains a Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationBilingual in English and SpanishExcellent verbal and written communication skills across various audiencesSuperior listening skills with the ability to quickly comprehend instructions in emergency situationsAbility to synthesize patient data and implement an action plan appropriateExcellent manual dexterity
