Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (17:00 - 05:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous experience in a Trauma Level II environment - Willingness to float between units as necessary - Ability to work every other weekend Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of ICU experience. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The ideal candidate will have experience managing various critical conditions. The role will involve the management of ventilated patients, central lines, and arterial lines. Demonstrated skills in administering medications and managing patient care protocols are essential. Knowledge of the electronic record-keeping system is necessary. Familiarity with cardiac surgeries and stroke management is preferred. Candidates must be committed to a collaborative approach within an interdisciplinary team. Additionally, strong critical thinking and communication skills are required. Compliance with hospital policies and procedures is expected. Travelers must submit to background checks and meet all hiring requirements. References covering prior work experience are necessary prior to start. Flexibility regarding scheduling and floating may be required.
