ADMISSIONS & ENROLLMENT SUPERVISOR
NASHUA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
PAY RANGE: $26.92 - $30.23/HR

SCOPE OF WORK : Under the direction of Associate Vice President of Student Affairs (AVPSA) oversees the College’s admissions and enrollment operations and services, with responsibility for supervising staff and coordinating daily functions and activities of the Admissions Office. This position reports to the AVPSA at NCC.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Under the direction of the AVPSA, oversees the operations and services of the Admissions Office, ensuring the needs of the students, faculty, staff, and public are addressed and met appropriately through the coordination of and assistance to interdepartmental units.
• Serves as primary resource for prospective and current students regarding admissions procedures, course scheduling, registration, financial aid, course placement assessment, and certification/diploma/degree requirements.
• Processes student admissions applications and assists with other enrollment functions as needed.
• Assist with overseeing the college’s front facing financial aid processes and maintains familiarity with federal and system financial aid policies and practices.
• Works with the AVPSA to develop and manage a departmental plan, departmental budget, forecasting needs, allocation of resources, and tracking of departmental expenses.
• Participates in recruiting efforts (both on- and off-campus) including, but not limited to, open houses, tours and information sessions, college fairs, high school visits, information events, and community activities; promotes the benefits of the College to increase the number of student inquiries and help move students through the enrollment process.
• Manages the tracking and recruitment of potential student groups with the use of a client relationship management (CRM) tool; uses the CRM tool to assess the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts and makes appropriate adjustments based on intake and conversion numbers; increases penetration and conversion rates of assigned schools, events, territories, and populations
• Provides training and coaching of department employees in a collaborative leadership style to ensure a professional staff that demonstrates effective communication and performance.
• Utilizes various software and databases including but not limited to Banner, MS Office, Target X, EAB Navigate, and other private software; to process recruitment and enrollment activities and information.
• Maintains knowledge/function of other administrative offices and college departments.
• Coordinates activities with business and industry and community-based organizations to promote college offerings, create an awareness of NCC to community groups; adult learners; and conducts informational sessions.
• Performs administrative duties associated with maintaining a safe work environment, training employees, communicating job expectations; monitoring and appraising job performance; and managing employee time and attendance in accordance with CCSNH and College policies and procedures, the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement, and state and federal regulations.
• Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education : Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in business, education, marketing, or related discipline. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience : Two (2) years' experience in admissions, academic advising student services, or academic operations with responsibilities in program coordination, operations management, and/or staff supervision.

Knowledge of office record keeping and reporting. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts and identify existing or potential problems. Ability to contribute to the development of sound operational procedures. Ability to make sound judgment in appraising situations and making routine decisions. Ability to follow specific instructions in gathering facts, data or resources in organizing required information. Ability to meet with prospective students and explain programs sponsored by the college or department. Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to handle matters with tact and diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college.
