Job Title: Inventory Associate I
City and State: Elgin, IL
Pay Rate: 20-23/hr
Schedule/Shift: 1st shift 6am - 2:30pm
Employment Type: Evaluation to Hire


Summary:
The Inventory Associate I is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts and audits, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring efficient inventory control throughout warehouse and production operations. This role works closely with multiple departments to support production demands, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards.


Responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, conduct audits, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation while reporting shortages, damages, or variances.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and generate inventory reports to support operational and purchasing decisions.
• Communicate inventory issues with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Accounting departments to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist with receiving, shipping, physical inventory audits, and inventory control projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience and 1 year of inventory control experience.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
