Senior Consultant – Data & AI (Private Markets)We're hiring a Senior Consultant to join a fast-growing Data & AI practice focused on private markets and alternative investments.This role sits within data strategy and operating model design, working across front-, middle-, and back-office workflows. You'll help private equity, credit, real estate, and alternative investment firms design scalable, governed data capabilities that improve decision-making across the investment lifecycle.This is a business-led data role—focused on clarity, structure, and execution—not pure engineering.What You'll Be Working OnBuilding deep understanding of private markets workflows, including:Deal executionPortfolio monitoringValuationsInvestor relationsOperations and financeOwning and delivering client-ready data strategy outputs, including:Domain definitionsBusiness requirementsGovernance frameworksWorkflow and operating model documentationDefining core data domains such as:Client, Fund, Investment, DealPortfolio Company, Exposure, PerformanceCashflows, Valuations, IR and operational dataLeading stakeholder interviews and working sessionsTranslating business needs into clear data implications and requirementsDefining data ownership, stewardship, and standardsPartnering with technology and data teams to ensure business-led, scalable deliveryCoaching and supporting Analysts and Consultants to raise delivery qualityContributing to the evolution of private markets data and AI capabilitiesWhat We're Looking For4–6+ years' experience in:Consulting, orPrivate markets / asset management roles, orData strategy or business analysis functionsStrong understanding of private markets workflows and decision pointsExperience translating business problems into structured, high-quality deliverablesSolid grounding in data strategy fundamentals (definitions, quality, ownership, governance)Confident stakeholder facilitator and interviewerStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to produce executive-ready narratives and materialsAwareness of modern cloud-native data platforms (ingestion, processing, governance, analytics)Comfortable working alongside technical teams without being hands-on engineeringIf you don't meet every requirement but bring strong private markets or data strategy experience, we still encourage you to apply.What This Role Is (and Isn't)This role is for you if you:Enjoy structuring messy data problems into clear frameworksWant exposure to real private markets decision-makingLike bridging business, data, and technology teamsThis role is not for you if you:Want a purely technical or engineering-only rolePrefer limited stakeholder interactionAre looking for generic enterprise data work outside private marketsWhy JoinFully remote role with flexible workingExposure to complex, high-impact private markets data initiativesStrong learning and development supportClear progression within a growing Data & AI practiceMeritocratic culture where impact drives advancementIf you're a Senior Consultant with private markets and data strategy experience—and want to help firms build scalable, decision-driven data capabilities—we'd like to hear from you.
