Business AnalystStrategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Business Analyst, a W2 contract opportunity.This is a W-2 contract opportunity, and candidates must be able to work on our W-2 only. NO C2C or 1099.Business Analyst Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C or 1099) Duration: 6-Month W2 Contract with a possibility to extend or convert. Location: St. Louis, Missouri, 63103 Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days in office—Everyone is in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays W2 hourly rate: $55-65/per hour Team and role fitTeam and Role FitThe overall team is Data Analytics and AI. This person would be dedicated to one to two sub-teams focused on advanced analytics and possibly AI. They would support one to two scrum teams by gathering and refining business requirements for analytics and AI use cases. They would work closely with a product owner (likely senior/lead level), who handles prioritization and use case completion.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with stakeholders to identify and clarify business requirements.Facilitate meetings, run one-on-one interviews or larger group workshops, and produce detailed documentation.Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.Create process maps or use other process modeling techniques.Keep product owner(s) updated on status.Act as the "face" of the use case for stakeholders, communicating where it stands in the process.Must-Have SkillsAnalyzing and interpreting organizational dataStrong communicationStrong knowledge of practices and procedures for translating business requirementsNice-To-Have SkillsMeeting facilitationDeveloping professional presentationsAbout The PositionActs as a liaison between development groups and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.Evaluates new digital developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.Tracks and reports the realized value once the automation is operational.Key Responsibilities Include:Works with stakeholders to identify and clarify moderate to complex business requirementsFacilitates meetings with business stakeholders and Digital to understand business requirements; demonstrates understanding of business needs and recommends design changes for moderately complex challengesConducts one-on-one interviews, brainstorming sessions, group work sessions, automation discovery workshops and surveys when necessaryTranslates business and design requirements into technical requirementsDirects and owns process/system changes and reviews process changes to ensure design changes meet business requirementsDraws process maps and uses business process modeling techniquesManages overall catalogue of process flows for medium complexity projectsFacilitates review and signoff of design changes to ensure design changes meet business requirementsPerforms QA against specifications and solves issuesAssists with conducting tests and inspections of products, services, solutions or processes to evaluate quality or performanceSupports medium complexity projects with little or no degree of supervision, including tracking issues and managing action itemsAppropriately documents knowledge and integrates cross-project knowledge, experience and value to make more accurate decisionsInterfaces with agile scrum teams to deliver digital solutions; acts as BA Point of Contact (POC) on scrum teamProvides innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business resultsActs as a liaison between business stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful implementation and support of project effortsCommunicates with the business and software engineers to develop tools that will solve for client/business requirementsReviews the Digital organization's technology enablement and integration plans; demonstrates technical expertise within own technology through determining best course of action for own projectDemonstrates strong working knowledge of agile software development processes and the development lifecycle; liaises with scrum masters and coaches to move project forwardCoaches less experienced co-workers and provides feedback to enhance skills and knowledgeQualificationsBachelor's degree required, preferably in mathematics, computer science, or business.Five or more years of experience working with IT related systems/projects required. Business Analyst experience is required.Three or more years of experience in a customer service oriented and/or IT related field required.Additional QualificationsStrong understanding of how to interpret customer's business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.Strong ability to facilitate meetings and develop professional presentations.Strong ability to analyze organizational data and complex problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement intervention strategies to attain performance targets.Strong ability to communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications.Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of performance analysis (trending, root cause and gap analysis), benchmarking and audit compliance.
