Position Title: Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer with SQL Server/Enterprise Database Experience - Nevada DHS/DCFS

Experience and Skills Required:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server/database development, Db2, COBOL, JavaScript, Angular/Blazor, and Web Services, with a focus on delivering robust web-based software solutions and supporting enterprise database environments. Experience with database design, query optimization, stored procedures, data integration, reporting, and troubleshooting database-related issues is strongly desired. Experience developing modern web applications using ASP.NET Core Blazor, Entity Framework Core, RESTful APIs, and component-based UI development is strongly preferred.

The Department of Human Services, Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking an experienced .NET Developer with a strong background in Microsoft development tools, frameworks, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server/database development, Db2, COBOL, JavaScript, Angular/Blazor, and Web Services, with a focus on delivering robust web-based software solutions and supporting enterprise application and database environments. Experience developing modern web applications using ASP.NET Core Blazor, Entity Framework Core, RESTful APIs, and component-based UI development is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design,develop, and maintain web-based applications aligned with existing andfuture business requirements.
• Design,develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases, queries, storedprocedures, views, and related database objects.
• Supportearly-stage modernization efforts for department systems, includingmigration from legacy ASP.NET Web Forms or AngularJS applications toASP.NET Core and Blazor-based architectures.
• Supportdatabase performance tuning, optimization, data integrity, andtroubleshooting activities.
• Conductresearch and development activities, ensuring alignment with DCFSdevelopment standards and documentation practices.
• Participatein unit testing, documentation, and validation of developed solutions.
• Supportthe ongoing development of the enterprise applications, including APIs,system interfaces, database components, and new modules or applications.
• Assistwith various IT initiatives to enable internal developers to focus onpriority efforts.
• Providesupport and perform maintenance on current DCFS applications and relateddatabase environments.
• Writeclean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to industry bestpractices.
• Testand validate individual work components for accuracy and functionalityrelated to other IT projects.
• Analyzeand understand both functional and technical requirements.
• Supportearly-stage modernization efforts for department systems, includingapplication and database modernization initiatives.
• Attendand contribute to project meetings related to DCFS initiatives.
• Conductsrequirement gathering, documents, and validates business requirements.
• Understandingthe Functional and Technical Requirements for the project
• Documentfindings, questions, and observations from system evaluations.
• Maintainup-to-date records for development tasks, including technical designdocumentation and required use/test cases.
• Submitregular status updates summarizing completed work and remaining items forassigned tasks.
• Collaboratewith technical and operational teams to support integrations, reporting,data validation, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Createnecessary technical design documents
• Createnecessary use cases, test case, and/or testing outlines
