For more information and resources, please visit our Student Employment Resources.## WHO WOULD I REPORT TO?Tara Boatman## WHAT DEPARTMENT IS THIS IN?5420 Non Work Study, Physical Education & Athletics## WHEN DOES THIS POSITION BEGIN (AND END, IF APPLICABLE?2026-09-28-## JOB PURPOSE:Assist the Sports Medicine staff in operations of the Athletic Training Room.**Please include a cover letter** that explains your interest in the position, how it may apply to your future endeavors, and highlights any relevant skills you may possess. *People interested in careers in healthcare/allied healthcare fields will be prioritized.*Things you will learn:* Time Management: Being able to efficiently manage your time, prioritize tasks, and stay organized.* Adaptability, Flexibility, and Resilience: Being able to adjust to change, learn new things, and adapt to various situations- sometimes under pressure.* Customer Service & Communication: You will interact with student-athletes, coaches and Athletic Training staff, developing the ability to handle complaints, communicate effectively, and build positive relationships.* Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: The ability to critically analyze situations, formulate solutions, and make sound decisions.* Technical Skills: Learn job specific modalities and gain expertise in check-in procedures and logging treatments into an electronic medical records system.* Professionalism and Work Ethic: You will cultivate a set of behaviors, values, and skills that demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and respect in the workplace.## DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Care and prevention of athletic injuries* Assist athletic training coverage at varsity team practices and games (sometimes off campus).* Assist with stocking supplies, cleaning duties, making ice bags, performing inventories, athlete sign-in procedures, setting up/breaking down sideline equipment, acting as “extra eyes and ears,” and running modalities under the supervision of the certified Athletic Trainers.* Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College* CPR/First Aid/AED Certification **preferred**.## SCHEDULE:* To be determined* Mostly \"on-call\"/fill in shifts for students unable to make their work shift due to scheduling conflicts.* **Must** be open to and available for occasional morning (6am-9am) and weekend work.* Normal shifts usually begin at 1:30pm and extended until all in-season team practices are done for the day.## RATE OF PAY:* Current OR Minimum Wage## WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT:* No Work Study requirement* Work Study Preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
