Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager of Lighting, the Headlight Technician will be responsible for reconditioning headlamps to Elite Auto Lights standards and packaging them for inventory.

Job Duties

• Repair broken headlight tabs via OE repair kit or plastic welding.
• Removal of headlamp lens and repairing internals or replacement of damaged lens.
• Sanding and polishing the lens.
• Cleaning lamp to ensure it meets customer expectations.
• Packaging part as specified and placed into inventory.
• Pulling parts off the shelf when customer order comes in and attaching UPS/FedEx label
• Keep work areas clean.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel may be required for training.
• Scheduled changing of filters and emptying of dust collector.
• Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting 50%, standing/walking 50%. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

• Desire to create a high-quality product in a growing market.
• Ability to use a computer for shipping and inventory
• Problem solver: capable of finding creative solutions and ingenuity to overcome obstacles
• Experience in working with hand and tools
• Collision industry experience is preferred
• Desire to learn
