Steadfast Executive Search has been engaged by a well-established commercial services organization in Orlando to identify a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support a fast-paced, operationally driven environment. The organization is part of a large publicly traded platform, offering the stability, resources, and long-term growth opportunities of a much larger enterprise while maintaining the accessibility, visibility, and collaborative culture of a local operating business. This highly visible role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and offers the opportunity to work closely with accounting, operations, vendors, and field teams while helping improve purchasing processes, vendor performance, operational efficiency, and cross‑functional communication throughout the organization. Key Highlights Reports directly to the CFO with strong exposure to leadership Base salary generally targeted up to $90,000 plus comprehensive benefits Stable, long‑established organization with an excellent reputation in Central Florida Backed by a large publicly traded parent company Highly collaborative environment with strong tenure across the team Opportunity to influence purchasing processes, vendor relationships, and operational efficiency High interaction with accounting, operations, vendors, and field leadership Key Responsibilities Procure materials, equipment, and services in a timely and cost‑effective manner Build and maintain vendor relationships, including pricing and service negotiations Review and approve purchase orders for accuracy, pricing, and compliance Partner closely with accounting and operations to improve purchasing workflows and communication Analyze purchasing activity to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities Support vendor performance management, reporting, documentation, and purchasing controls Help standardize purchasing practices, vendors, and materials where appropriate Qualifications 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, buyer, or sourcing experience Experience within construction, HVAC, mechanical contracting, specialty contracting, building services, industrial services, manufacturing, or similar operational environments preferred Experience working cross‑functionally with accounting, operations, project teams, vendors, and field personnel Strong understanding of purchasing systems, vendor management, purchasing workflows, and process improvement Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Base salary generally targeted up to $90,000 depending on experience and overall alignment Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Short‑term and long‑term disability coverage Tuition reimbursement and additional employee development resources Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre‑employment screening requirements, which may include background, reference, credit, and/or other job‑related screenings, where permitted by law.
