Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer role is a Full-Time with a client located in Chicago, IL (Hybrid) . Ideally looking for applicants to have a solid background in Payment/Payroll, AWS, Embedded Systems, Python, Django . would come as a big plus. Salary Range: $170k-$185k/Annum + Benefits , The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Key Responsibilities Partner directly with enterprise customers to gather requirements and deliver customized software solutions. Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django . Build modern customer-facing applications using React . Design and implement REST APIs, integrations, and application-layer enhancements. Customize and extend embedded software platforms to meet customer-specific requirements. Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and implementation workshops with customers and partners. Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide Tier-3 technical support. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong hands‑on experience with Python and Django . Experience developing modern web applications using React . Solid experience with AWS cloud services. Strong background in Embedded Systems development. Experience working with Payroll and/or Payment Processing Systems is required. Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and distributed systems. Proven experience in customer‑facing software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
