Biostatistician

Role Overview

Apply clinical trial statistics expertise to help train AI systems for clinical research. You will create and evaluate real world statistical tasks, using rigorous analysis and clear documentation to help models learn, reason, and perform accurately. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Author and review evaluation tasks that derive, reproduce, or validate statistical outputs from clinical datasets and associated tables, figures, and listings.
• Assess the accuracy and consistency of estimates, confidence intervals, p values, analysis populations, and missing data handling against statistical analysis plans.
• Identify discrepancies between statistical outputs and clinical study report narratives, including errors involving population definitions, censoring rules, and multiplicity handling.
• Establish and document defensible ground truth so each task can be independently verified.
• Write structured, concise rationales that distinguish genuine statistical errors from acceptable methodological alternatives.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary project team to refine evaluation tasks and criteria.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of biostatistician experience supporting clinical trials at a sponsor, CRO, or academic trials unit.
• Experience producing or quality controlling regulatory submission tables, figures, and listings, and working directly with CDISC SDTM and ADaM datasets.
• Proficiency in SAS and/or R, including the ability to independently reproduce analyses from written specifications.
• Ability to interpret statistical analysis plans and verify that reported results follow prespecified analyses.
• Strong knowledge of confirmatory trial methods, including survival analysis, mixed models, covariate adjustment, multiplicity control, and estimand and missing data strategies under ICH E9(R1).
• Advanced degree, MSc or PhD, in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Strong written communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Lead statistician experience on pivotal or registrational studies.
• Experience authoring or reviewing clinical study report statistical sections.
• Oncology endpoint expertise or exposure to AI assisted statistical review tools.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $60 to $65 per hour.
