Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Nights)

San Antonio, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
• Operate and monitor IV pumps, vital signs machines, and other unit equipment
• Document and manage patient records using Meditech EMR
• Perform hourly rounding and apply patient-centered communication practices
• Float to other Med-Surg areas as needed
• Rotate weekend assignments as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR is required; candidates without this skill will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with hourly rounding protocols
• Familiarity with AIDET communication framework
• Flexible, caring, and compassionate approach to patient care with a willing, team-oriented attitude
