RN - Interventional Radiology (IR)

Emerson Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) Staff Nurse. This position requires travel experience and is for a 13-week assignment starting on August 3, 2026, and ending on October 31, 2026. The nurse will provide quality-nursing care to patients in the radiology department, including pediatric, adult, and elderly patients. The nurse must be prepared to handle all unexpected emergencies that occur during radiological procedures. The nurse ensures patient privacy, dignity, and safety.

Job functions include complying with policies and procedures, prioritizing patient needs, assessing patient conditions, recognizing and treating contrast reactions, intervening in emergency situations, assisting radiologists with special procedures, administering conscious sedation, providing continuity of care for critically ill patients, using special equipment, documenting patient status, complying with patient identification protocols, prioritizing nursing responsibilities, and providing health teaching and procedural information to patients and families.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of nursing experience. Critical care experience preferred. Skills include knowledge of all areas of nursing practice, mature judgment, initiative, and proficiency in nursing skills, ability to work without direct supervision, professional interest through self-development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations, knowledge in physical assessment, aseptic techniques, IV skills, and universal precautions, excellent customer service skills, ability to read, write, and communicate in English, computer skills required, and ability to maintain confidential information.

Certifications: BLS & ACLS required. MA RN License required. Guaranteed hours: 40 weekly.
