The organization is in search of a Board-Certified Cardiologist to join and lead our dynamic Cardiovascular Service at a prominent medical center located in Hartford, Connecticut.
This role presents a remarkable chance to showcase your expertise in guiding teams through the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of heart conditions, from the most common to the highly complex.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of advanced heart-failure specialists, electrophysiologists, interventionalists, invasive and non-invasive cardiologists, advanced imaging and structural heart specialists, cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practitioners, and dedicated nursing staff, all committed to delivering exceptional cardiac care at one of New England's busiest cardiovascular institutes.

As the Chief of the Cardiology Section at the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the planning, organization, direction, and management of high-quality Cardiology services at the medical center and its outpatient facilities.
- Collaborating with leadership to provide oversight for inpatient, hospital, and outpatient cardiology programs, including community outreach for coordinated care.
- Establishing processes, supervising staff, recruiting providers, and building relationships with hospital leadership and service lines.
- Ensuring compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards, maintaining adherence to medical functions, and fulfilling requirements set by The Joint Commission and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Working with the senior leadership team to focus on expanding service lines within the department, providing visionary leadership that enhances existing programs and fosters new initiatives.
- Enjoying a flexible schedule that balances clinical and administrative duties.
- Practicing as a Cardiologist in your area of expertise within the Heart and Vascular Service, with clinical opportunities in non-invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure for both inpatient and outpatient settings, tailored to your preferences.
- Conducting consultations, performing tests, and delivering care in both outpatient clinics and hospital environments.
- Possibility of holding an academic appointment at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine or the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, if desired.

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in leadership roles within clinical Cardiology/Cardiovascular/Heart and Vascular Care.
- A keen interest in all facets of cardiac care and rehabilitation, as well as a passion for teaching fellows, with potential academic affiliation at UCONN and/or Quinnipiac.
- A desire for a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
- Preference for a Non-Invasive General Cardiologist with leadership experience.
- Board Certification in Cardiovascular Medicine.
- A valid medical license in Connecticut.
- Completion of a US ACGME residency program.
