This contract role focuses on delivering expert speech therapy services to a vibrant student population during the upcoming academic year, starting August 3rd and extending through May 21st. The position offers full-time hours (35 per week, generally 7:45am–3:30pm), and is ideal for those passionate about making a significant impact in elementary to middle-grade students’ lives.

This assignment caters to a single school, with caseloads most likely centered around third to sixth graders. You’ll be instrumental in addressing a variety of communication needs, facilitating student growth, and working closely with educational teams and families.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology license required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is a must
• Previous experience in school settings preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with common disabilities among school-aged children a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, focusing on articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and guidance on communication goals
