This position plays a key role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and ready to support quality patient care while helping lead facility expansions, renovations, relocations, and new-site development.If you are a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, managing projects, and creating safe, efficient environments that make a difference in community healthcare, we encourage you to apply!Why Join Us?We offer a career with fantastic benefits, including:Amazing retirement package to help secure your futureAffordable medical insurance for you and your familyGenerous paid time off so you can rechargeFREE life insurance & long-term disability for peace of mindFREE parking because the little things matter too!What You'll Do:Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure safe, clean, functional, and patient-ready environmentsDevelop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipmentCoordinate repairs and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, generators, and other facility systemsConduct regular facility inspections and address maintenance, safety, accessibility, and operational concernsCoordinate facility renovations, expansions, relocations, new-site openings, and capital improvement projectsDevelop project timelines, cost estimates, transition plans, and facility-readiness checklistsManage contractors, vendors, service agreements, and facility-related projects to ensure quality and timely completionCoordinate required facility inspections, safety testing, regulatory compliance activities, and corrective actionsSupport emergency preparedness, disaster response, and continuity-of-operations planningOversee facility security systems, building access, keys, badges, and related access controlsCoordinate organizational fleet maintenance, inspections, registrations, and vehicle recordsMaintain facility equipment inventories, maintenance records, warranties, and project documentationAssist with facilities budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savingsCollaborate with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational departments to minimize disruptions to patient careIdentify facility risks, respond to urgent operational issues, and communicate significant concerns to leadershipSupervise facilities support personnel as assignedWhat We're Looking For:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, building operations, construction, property management, healthcare facilities, or a closely related fieldDemonstrated experience managing contractors, vendors, preventive maintenance, facility repairs, and building systemsWorking knowledge of commercial building operations, maintenance, and workplace safetyStrong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to coordinate multiple facilities, projects, vendors, and deadlines simultaneouslyAbility to read and interpret contracts, floor plans, specifications, proposals, and scopes of workExperience developing project schedules, cost estimates, and facility-readiness plansStrong communication, vendor management, and negotiation skillsBasic understanding of budgeting, procurement, invoice review, and capital planningProficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic work-order or project-management systemsValid Texas driver's license and ability to travel between CHW locationsAbility to inspect facilities, mechanical areas, equipment, and construction sites as neededAbility to respond to facility emergencies and work evenings, weekends, or extended hours when necessaryPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing facilities across multiple locationsExperience coordinating renovations, construction projects, relocations, or new-site openingsExperience in healthcare, medical office, ambulatory care, or other regulated facilitiesRelevant technical training, trade certifications, facilities-management certifications, or college courseworkApplication Deadline: Open Until FilledNo phone calls pleaseADA / EEO / DFWPOur Mission: Protecting and Promoting the One Health of Galveston County
