Role Overview

Apply game-design systems thinking to help train next-generation AI systems by reviewing video of robotic arms performing real-world tasks. This remote contract role focuses on interpreting actions, states, interactions, outcomes, and errors in video footage, rather than traditional game development. No prior AI, robotics, or data-annotation experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review video footage of robotic arms completing tasks using provided annotation and grading guidelines.
  • Identify and label actions, object interactions, state changes, task outcomes, errors, and other relevant events in each video segment.
  • Interpret robotic behavior using knowledge of action sequences, system states, cause and effect, and success or failure conditions.
  • Use dedicated annotation tools to tag video content accurately and consistently.
  • Flag ambiguous moments and document concise reasoning.
  • Support quality control by reviewing annotations and providing constructive feedback when requested.
  • Complete assigned batches accurately and by established deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Professional or academic background in game design, gameplay development, technical game design, game QA, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of action sequences, object states, interactions, rules, and cause-and-effect relationships.
  • Experience reviewing, testing, debugging, or documenting gameplay behavior.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to apply consistent criteria across repetitive visual tasks.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain observations and edge cases.
  • Experience with data annotation, visual QA, AI training projects, or robotics is helpful but not required.

Work Terms

  • Remote contractor engagement.
  • Open to applicants located in North America, Latin America, Europe, the UK, and Oceania.

Compensation

$50 to $90 per hour.
