The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00 hourly DOE Shifts Available: 3rd Benefits Package: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating holidays Responsibilities Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines Report all safety concerns or issues to immediate supervisor Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments Complete make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used Complete all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks Complete all press-side quality checks Operate press to produce product in accordance with customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency Maintain consistent quality during the production run Conduct critical quality checks including copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion Ensure conformance to all other quality checks Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard Complete press make-ready in an efficient manner Complete all required equipment maintenance duties Clean plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricate press as needed Input all required information into the Radius system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1+ years as a printing press operator experience and/or training is a plus (not required) Physical demands: standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, talking and hearing Requires frequent walking Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds Multi-Color is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
