Our organization’s Department of Behavioral Health is on the lookout for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to become part of our team at Mather Hospital . We are searching for a dynamic and innovative individual who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. While a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred, it is not a strict requirement.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing inpatient psychiatric consultations and follow-up care for medical and surgical patients. Key duties include assessing and managing patients experiencing behavioral issues stemming from medical conditions, medication complications, co-occurring psychiatric disorders, and medical issues related to various psychiatric conditions. There will also be opportunities for teaching within our residency program.

Mather Hospital is a 248-bed, non-profit community teaching facility that is accredited and part of our organization. It stands out as one of the few hospitals on Long Island offering both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adolescents and adults. Notably, it is the only acute care hospital in Suffolk County with an adolescent psychiatric unit and a partial hospitalization program for adolescents.
