Facilities Electrician

Description: Perform all facility maintenance and facility support functions including electrical maintenance and installation. Work as a member of a high performance, customer- oriented, proactive team. Maintain accurate records. Install, test, and maintain heavy duty and high power electrical system including distribution and substation equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot large capacity
building HVAC system and electrical system, etc. Repair construct, install, troubleshoot and maintain routine electrical system and equipment. Cut, threads , bends couples, and strap conduit. Cuts wire and conduit to length. install, repair and or replaces boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses and extension cords.
Disassembles motors, generators and other equipment in
preparation for repair. Troubleshoot for safety and efficiency. Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage -or-amperage measuring recording devices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
- Candidate must have at least 10 years of documented industrial electrical experience (non precedent setting) and/or Journeyman status within the electrical trade.
- Candidate must have electrical experience working in an industrial / commercial environment
- Candidate must have and maintain a valid driver license
- Candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Candidate be be able to operate variety of hand tools and power tools
- Candidate must be able to operate single person/scissors lift
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any required certification
Desired Skills:
High School degree or equivalency Electronics/Electricians background desired Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and installations Strong communications skills Must possess basic computer skills Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints Must work well with others, as well as by yourself

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

The base range for this position in New York is $42.21 - $45.90.
